We offer an Allergy Awareness Kit for families who wish to gently assess sensitivity prior to reservation. This kit includes a small sealed sample of the kitten’s fur and dander, a baby cloth the kitten has cuddled with, and may also include a saliva exposure cotton swab, along with clear directions. These materials allow potential owners to observe any reactions in a familiar, controlled home environment over several days. The cost of the kit, including shipping, is $35 within the United States. After ordering, clients will need to provide their mailing address so the kit can be sent to them. This kit is intended for allergy awareness only and is not a medical or diagnostic test. Siamese and Balinese cats are often better tolerated due to lower levels of the Fel d 1 protein, individual reactions can vary. Families with known allergies are encouraged to consult an allergist prior to adoption.
